Prairie Catholic Home and School Committee
Our purpose:
The home and school association is intended to be a vehicle by which parents,
teachers, pastor and school administrator can collaborate and enable one
another to develop a faith community and teach the young by living witness.
Therefore, the following objectives seem appropriate:
1. Act as a support group for the school and its employees and students.
2. To offer information of special interest to parents which will assist them in
fulfilling their responsibilities in the Christian formation of their children.
3. To provide opportunities to build community among parents, students,
school employees and the pastor.
4. To provide a setting in which parents may be of service to the school and
where faculty may be of service to parents.
5. To offer fundraising for the support of the school.

- Parent Teacher Conferences - meals for teachers (Late Fall)

- Catholic Schools Week (Starts the last Sunday in January)
- Easter Egg Hunt (Holy Week)
- Teacher Appreciation Week (May)
- Carnations for First Holy Communion – all second graders (May)
All parents are welcome to attend monthly meetings. First meeting to kick off the
new school year will take place Wednesday, August 7, at 5pm. All future
meetings take place in the school cafeteria the second Wednesday of the month
starting September 11 at 5:30 pm.
Save the Date for this year’s Gala on Saturday, March 29, 2025.
This will be the third year the Prairie Catholic Home and School Committee will be hosting this
event. All students’ parents/grandparents are invited. More information will be shared later.
Last year we were able to raise over $16,000 for the school!
